Kenneth W. Christian is a seasoned Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) and President of Maplewood Financial Group, bringing decades of expertise in wealth management, retirement planning, and estate strategies. With a background that spans public service and financial advising, Kenneth is committed to helping individuals, families, and professionals secure their financial futures with confidence.

Kenneth’s journey into finance began after a distinguished career as a Philadelphia firefighter (1989-2000) and his service in the United States Navy (1981-1989). Transitioning into financial services in 1999, he has since guided hundreds of clients through market fluctuations, retirement transitions, and wealth-building strategies.

The Bemuah Health Foundation holds a deep and personal significance for me because it allows me to make a meaningful global impact by helping individuals who lack the financial resources to access quality medical care. My involvement with Bemuah Royal Hospital in Ghana opened my eyes to a heartbreaking reality — many families, particularly those battling chronic lung and heart diseases, struggle to afford even the most basic medical treatment. I’ve witnessed firsthand how patients are often forced to delay care or go without treatment entirely simply because they can’t afford it. Tragically, this often leads to preventable complications, deteriorating health, or even loss of life. Experiencing this on such a personal level made it impossible for me to turn a blind eye.
I realized that something had to be done — and that’s where the vision for the Bemuah Health Foundation was born. Creating the Foundation was my response to that critical need. I knew I couldn’t stand by while financial barriers continued to prevent people from receiving life-saving care. Our mission is clear and deeply purposeful: to provide financial assistance to patients who cannot afford treatment and to ensure that the hospital has the resources necessary to continue delivering high-quality care. I firmly believe that access to healthcare is not a privilege — it’s a fundamental human right. And I’m committed to doing my part to make that belief a reality, especially in underserved communities where access to medical care is often limited or out of reach.
But beyond financial assistance, what means the most to me is the profound impact we’re making in the lives of patients and their families. Every time I see a patient walk out of the hospital after receiving life-saving treatment, I’m reminded of why this work is so important. It’s about more than just writing checks; it’s about restoring hope, preserving dignity, and giving families a chance to see their loved ones live healthy, fulfilling lives — without the crippling burden of medical costs. I’ve always believed that when you have the capacity to make a difference, you also have the responsibility to do so. And that belief is what fuels my commitment to the mission of the Bemuah Health Foundation.
This work also allows me to leave a lasting legacy — one that is rooted in compassion, service, and impact. It’s not just about providing healthcare funding; it’s about building a future where financial hardship will never determine whether someone lives or dies. My greatest hope is that through continued awareness, support, and collaboration, we can transform the landscape of healthcare access in Ghana and beyond.
